CURRICULUM TRANSACTION
1. Discussion forms
To encourage the trainees to participate actively and to asses their individual performance,we conduct various discussions:- Panel discussions, Debates, Seminars, symposium, etc through out the academic year.
2. Assignments
The trainees are asked to write analytical and evaluative short-notes on the books,they read. For the continuous evaluation, these notes are being looked into.
3. Research Activity
To develop a research mentality among the trainees, we conduct projects, survey,interview, etc.
4. School Experience programme
a) Model class:
There is a provision for the trainees to observe the classes taken by experts in the field and by the practising teachers in different schools.
b) Try-outs:
Trainees are formed into different small groups and asked to perform a skill,a technique, a novel idea or a teaching aid to test whether they can be used effectively or to reach a desired objective.
c) Analytical class:
Each trainee gets ready for two analytical classes and performs in the presenceof the co-learners and the concerned teacher educator.
d) Class observation
Before going for teaching practice, the trainees are supposed to observe the classes of the practising teachers in different schools according to a schedule.
e) Teaching practice
All the 2nd year students have a teaching practice for Fifty days in three spells in different schools.In these, 25 days are in the LP and rest in the UP section.Teaching practice gives an immediateexperience of teaching in these schools.We have got eleven practice teaching schools available for this purpose.
